Beetle in the Sand

Beetle in the Sand

across the dunes
a track proceeds
thru wind blown sand
and fallen reeds

Stubborn foolhardiness gets you to your destination, or gets you killed.

A photograph of an unidentified insect on sand. Its tracks can be seen to the right.

    Great picture.
Seems to be an "Oil Beetle," genus Meloe. Can cause blisters if handled.
