Embrace the Tree

Embrace the Tree

naked trees — o'er frozen pond
nature waves — its magic wand
the day is dark — benches barren
snow kissed boughs — reach for heaven

Picture yourself a tree, rooted deep in the ground and extended high into the heavens. Some see harmony in nature; I see competition and adaptation. Some trees grow straight and tall, while others grow sideways to catch the nourishing rays of the sun; still others thrive in the shade of the larger trees.

This High Dynamic Range [HDR] image features a black and white near-gradient starting in the lower-right and proceeding to the upper-left. The image was selectively desaturated to mute the benches and signs, and bring the yellow trees to prominence. It is snowing slightly.
